Are you an experienced B2B sales professional with the ambition to take a senior leading role? Do you want to combine building strong customer relationships with guiding and coaching sales colleagues? At VL Test Systems Ltd (VLT), we are looking for a Senior Sales Representative to strengthen our UK sales team. In this role, you will not only drive new business and manage key accounts, but also support and mentor colleague sales representatives as part of our growth strategy.

Your role

As Senior Sales Representative, you are the commercial face of VLT in the UK commercial-testing market. You focus on high-value opportunities, manage strategic accounts, and ensure our DVSA-approved testing solutions remain the first choice for workshops, vehicle inspection facilities, MOT centres and fleet operators. At the same time, you share your expertise with colleagues, helping them develop and achieve their sales goals.

Your key responsibilities
  • Developing and managing key accounts in the UK market.
  • Driving new business and negotiating contracts with decision-makers at workshops and fleet operators.
  • Coaching and mentoring your team of sales colleagues, helping them to grow professionally and hit their targets.
  • Acting as a sparring partner for the Management Team and Managing Director in defining commercial strategy.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities.
  • Representing VLT at trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
Your profile

You are a confident and ambitious sales professional with a proven track record in B2B field sales. You combine commercial drive with leadership qualities, making you both a strong dealmaker and a team player who brings out the best in others. We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 5 years of successful experience in B2B field sales, preferably in a commercial-testing market, technical, or industrial equipment.
  • Experience in key account management and business development.
  • The ability to combine customer requirements with regulations to provide workable solutions.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to coach and inspire junior/other colleagues.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • A structured, result-oriented, and proactive mindset.
  • A valid UK driving licence (Category B). High mileage is expected with regular overnights.
