We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Sales Manager. The base location for this role is London although UK Domestic travel is expected to carry out regular meetings with clients.
The role holder will manage a diverse portfolio of Institutional Clients, covering Insurance, Asset Managers, Financial Sponsors and Hedge Funds. This portfolio will consist of inbound clients into the UK and UK head quartered clients who require services domestically and/or across HSBC's global network.
In this role, you will:
- Partner as a trusted advisor, responsible for maintaining and developing a portfolio of Insurance and Investor clients, with a granular understanding of the clients' business and sector, aligning appropriate cash management solutions across HSBC's network
- Effectively coordinate and collaborate with the HSBC teams across markets and functions to develop appropriate solutions and deliver sales proposals
- Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify and develop business opportunities and pipeline
- Drive the development of business plans and strategies in consultation with Corporate and Institutional Banking Coverage
- Delivery of individual financial and non-financial targets. The jobholder is ultimately responsible for new sales revenue and the retention and growth of existing clients and income aligned to an allocated portfolio
- Work closely with GPS Product, Liquidity, Client Implementation and Integration partners to ensure deals are transitioned smoothly and revenues realised
- Ensure clients are proactively advised of cash management market developments/trends and regulatory changes that may present opportunities or risk
- Maintain comprehensive sales records in a timely manner to allow tracking of sales performance
- Represent HSBC at conferences, roadshows, industry events and help coordinate the publication of case studies and press articles
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive experience of providing global cash management services, coupled with sound knowledge of the sector, payments landscape, trends and regulatory environment
- Experienced in managing complex clients and deals across multiple countries
- Detailed knowledge of day-to-day workings of Treasury and Finance Operations
- In depth knowledge of cash management solutions; payments and receivables, e-channels, reporting, reconciliation and liquidity management
- Proven sales record with demonstrable evidence of successful selling of large/complex transactions to major customers
- Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies and work under pressure with Key Performance Indicators
- Ability to communicate at all levels of senior and executive management both within the HSBC Group, and at senior levels in customer organisations (Treasurer, Financial Director, and CFO)
