Job summary

Pertemps Swindon Industrial is hiring a Sales Ledger Assistant for our finance team in Wootton Bassett. You will handle sales orders, invoicing, debtor management and resolve account discrepancies.

The role is full-time and office-based, requiring advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems. Exchequer experience is advantageous, and you will liaise with customers and internal teams to maintain accurate ledgers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Sales Ledger or similar.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence with spreadsheets.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems; Exchequer experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly sales orders, invoices and credit notes.
• Check timesheets and clock cards against hours sold.
• Match customer purchase orders to invoices.
• Maintain the Sales Ledger and manage aged debtors.
• Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies.
• Maintain outstanding sales order records.
• Liaise with customers, the Sales Team and Business Managers.
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties.
