What you’ll own

The primary objective of the Senior Sales Manager role is to achieve the annual sales budget for partner merchant acquisition in nominated verticals, including merchant numbers, transactional volume, gross and net revenue. This requires the professional development and management of the partner sales funnel through the research, acquisition, contracting and commercialization of independent software partners and their enterprise merchants, maintaining a close working relationship with the partner success manager division.

  • Development and management of the partner sales funnel alongside the partner success manager team to achieve annual nominated budgets and targets.
  • Research key prospects and their decision makers to target for engagement using all marketing tools including business networking, conferences, industry groups and LinkedIn.
  • Development and presentation of professional detailed proposals and supporting commercialization plans to founders, C-suite and executive leaders.
  • Qualify partners for risk and underwriting and merchant ALM /KYC to enable profitable pricing and merchant boarding in line with company policy.
  • Liaise with internal and partner integration, solution design teams to facilitate the design, build and certification and timely release the solution.
  • Liaise with the risk department as necessary move the opportunity through the underwriting process and client support to ensure the merchant boarding process is managed through clear scalable process documentation.
  • Collaboration with internal and partner marketing teams to develop and drive effective merchant acquisition and onboarding programs.
  • Management and development of the sales funnel in Saleforce and Hubspot to achieve sales key performance indicators including prospecting activities, proposal presentations, contracts, and merchant acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with our Implementation and Partnership Managers to ensure effective plans with agreed statement of works deployed ensuring efficient sales motion from contract signing, integration, marketing, training, and enablement ahead of first merchant activation.
  • Use HubSpot and Salesforce to ensure all client information, lead and deal/opportunity records are 100% accurate and complete with campaign and other tasks maintained.
  • Provide management with weekly and monthly pipeline and activity reports.
  • Comply to obligations under our licensing and regulatory frameworks, including maintaining education and qualification standards.

What you bring

  • 8+ years solution focussed sales experience in B2B environment.
  • 5+ years payment industry experience or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve challenging targets and KPI’S consistently.
  • Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills that develop trusting commercial relationships. Demonstrable planning, time management and organizational skills enabling high sales productivity.
  • A broad understanding of marketing processes and the ability to collaborate with marketing teams to execute effective outcomes.
  • A broad understanding and knowledge of payments and API applications.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a sales funnel in Salesforce.
  • An excellent understanding of sales techniques with required interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and process complex information relating to technology, payment products, services, and processes.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work autonomously professionally and within a team.
  • Contribute positively to the culture of the business with a client first and service orientation.
