Job description

We are looking for a Senior Sales & Events Coordinator to join the team at Kents Hill Park, a beautiful venue that is part of The Venues Collection.

Salary

£28k Per Annum.

Role Expectations
  1. Lead training and development of new team members to meet company performance standards during probation.
  2. Support the Sales Office Manager daily to achieve venue targets and assist the team.
  3. Collaborate with the Sales Office Manager to deliver monthly financial results through strategic planning and diary optimisation.
  4. Assist in creating and completing weekly and monthly reports, including forecasts and business review packs.
  5. Respond to electronic enquiries within set response times and work with E-sales coordinators to maximize conversion.
  6. Develop rate strategies for M&E aligned with the venue’s budget.
  7. Handle reservations for both event and transient guests.
  8. Attend all mandatory and role-specific training.
  9. Provide high levels of customer care before and during events.
  10. Maximize sales and revenue by proactively approaching sales opportunities and yield management.
  11. Respond to customer enquiries promptly according to venue guidelines.
  12. Manage diary efficiently within the conference office.
  13. Maintain sales information using Opera following company guidelines.
  14. Participate in communication and operational meetings representing the sales department.
  15. Support invoicing processes to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  16. Assist the Director of Sales/Sales Manager with new business leads and client events.
  17. Build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
  18. Stay informed about competitor services and facilities to promote the venue effectively.
  19. Comply with health and safety legislation, report issues, and participate in training.
  20. Be familiar with Accident & Maintenance and Fire safety procedures.
  21. Support wider operations and undertake ad hoc tasks as requested by HOD or Hotel Manager.
