Job description

We are looking for a Senior Sales & Events Coordinator to join the team at Kents Hill Park, a beautiful venue that is part of The Venues Collection.

Salary: £28k Per Annum

Role Expectations:
  • Lead the training and development of new team members to ensure performance standards are met within the probation period.
  • Support the Sales Office Manager in achieving venue targets and supporting the team.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Office Manager to deliver monthly financial results aligned with budgets through strategic rate setting and diary optimization.
  • Assist in creating and completing weekly and monthly reports, including forecasting and business review packs.
  • Respond to electronic enquiries promptly and work with E-sales coordinators to maximize conversion rates.
  • Develop rate strategies for M&E in line with budget expectations.
  • Handle reservations for bedrooms for both event and transient guests.
  • Attend all mandatory and role-specific training sessions.
  • Provide high levels of customer care and service throughout the event planning and execution process.
  • Maximize sales and revenue by proactively pursuing sales opportunities and yielding business to meet the venue’s sales plan.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within set guidelines.
  • Manage diary efficiently to optimize conference yield.
  • Maintain sales information using Opera following company guidelines.
  • Participate in communication and operational meetings as a representative of the sales department.
  • Support invoicing processes, ensuring conference bills are accurate and timely.
  • Assist the Director of Sales/Sales Manager with new business leads and client events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
  • Stay informed about competitor services and facilities to effectively promote the venue.
  • Comply with health and safety legislation, actively report issues, and participate in training.
  • Be familiar with Accident & Maintenance and Fire safety procedures for your department and the wider venue.
  • Support the wider Operations Team and undertake any reasonable tasks assigned by HOD or Hotel Manager.
