Job summary

Heron Foods Limited is seeking a Senior Part-Time Sales Assistant to lead shifts and support store operations in Widnes. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store presentation, and assisting with stock and deliveries.

You will act as a keyholder, participate in opening/closing duties, and contribute to a positive team culture in a busy retail environment. This is a permanent, part-time position offering a supportive development path.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in retail or hospitality is essential.
• Friendly, approachable and professional demeanour with good communication.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations during shifts to ensure smooth running.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer queries.
• Keep shelves well stocked and store presentation at high standards.
• Assist with stock management and deliveries, as needed.
• Act as keyholder and manage store opening/closing in absence of management.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Part-Time Sales Assistant, you’ll take on a key leadership role to keep the store running smoothly and successfully. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and motivating the team to deliver exceptional results.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service and resolving queries effectively.
• Maintaining an impeccable store presentation with well-stocked and tidy shelves.
• Assisting with stock management and overseeing deliveries.
• Acting as a keyholder and taking responsibility for the store in the absence of management (including store openings and closes).
