The Role:

At Charles Tyrwhitt, our purpose is to “Make it easy for men to dress well,” and we can’t do that without our specialist teams.

We are currently seeking a Senior Sales Assistant for our Chelmsford store.

The position is for 16 hours per week, requiring flexibility to work on weekdays and weekends.

What you will be doing:

The primary goal of the Senior Sales Assistant is to support and lead the sales team to exceed targets, maximize KPIs, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will be an expert in CT selling skills, driving store targets through your own sales while coaching and influencing the team. Responsibilities include managing customer appointments, wedding party appointments, and ensuring an excellent in-store experience. As a senior team member, you will have key-holding responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, and working with management to train and coach Sales Assistants. You will also be among the top sellers in the store.

Additionally, you will assist with operational, compliance, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily store operations, adhering to company policies, health and safety guidelines, and security procedures.

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in retail or hospitality, preferably with some store management exposure. Key Holder experience is advantageous. The most important qualities are a passion for customer service, selling, and maintaining a strong focus on sales performance.
