We're expanding our Sales team at our Brighton Branch and are looking for a dependable Senior Sales Assistant to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. As a Senior Sales Assistant, you will also mentor junior staff and assist in the daily operations of the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored product recommendations.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and services to effectively assist customers and answer queries.
• Achieve sales targets through proactive selling techniques and by fostering strong customer relationships.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members to ensure high standards of service are maintained.
• Manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in visual merchandising efforts to enhance the store's appearance and promote featured products.
• Collaborate with management on promotional activities and store events to drive footfall.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is essential.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues alike.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in mentoring or training staff is advantageous but not mandatory.

Hours of Work

Week 1: Monday to Friday 7:30 - 17:00

Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00; Saturday 08:00 - 12:00
