Seeking a really worthwhile role? How about joining an organisation where your work positively impacts disabled children’s lives and the planet?

Newlife provides access to vital equipment for disabled children and their families, offering information and support through our team of healthcare professionals. We sponsor pioneering medical research into the causes of birth defects, advocate for families through campaigns for change, and run a recycling programme that saves thousands of tonnes of waste from landfill or incineration each year.

Our mission is to change lives, and you could be part of that change!

As one of the UK’s leading charities providing essential specialist equipment to disabled and terminally ill children, Newlife is dedicated to making life better for the families we serve and for our staff. We provide grants, emergency equipment loans, and a free nurse helpline for support and information. Our campaigns help give disabled children and their families a voice, and we support adults with additional needs through volunteering and employment opportunities.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor / Sales Assistant seeking progression to make a real difference.

All stock in our stores is new and donated by retailers, allowing us to offer designer and high street products at discount prices, creating a haven for bargain hunters and savvy shoppers.

The Senior Sales Assistant role involves driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and acting as a key link between the Sales team and Store/Deputy Store Manager to generate funds supporting disabled children and their families. Flexibility and quick thinking are essential due to the changing nature of the product range and merchandising needs.

You will lead by example, promoting a positive store culture aligned with our Mission, Vision, and Values. Your motivation will come from driving customer service, achieving sales targets, and supporting the team, helping you realize your potential in a supportive environment.

What we are looking for

You must be committed to operational excellence and customer focus. Previous retail experience is essential, along with the ability to work effectively with the Store Manager, Deputy Manager, and team, including volunteers. You will maximize sales and profit through coaching and supporting the team, maintaining high merchandising standards, and ensuring excellent customer service. Key holder responsibilities are part of this role.

Enjoy 28 days holiday, a health cash plan, store discounts, pension scheme, and the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
