Job summary

Jewson in Truro is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Advisor to join our branch. You'll get to know our product lines, develop strong relationships with customers face-to-face and over the phone, and help deliver the best possible service.

Hours are 7:00–16:30 or 07:30–17:00 Monday to Friday with every other Saturday morning 8am–12pm. We offer a competitive salary, staff discounts, life assurance, a pension, and 34 days of holiday.

Qualifications

• Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in the construction materials supply industry is preferred.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Get to know our product lines and services to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers, in person and over the phone, to deliver excellent service.
• Understand the local market to support sales growth plans.
• Use in-house systems to process orders, organise deliveries, and keep customers updated.

Our Senior Sales Advisor's are an important contributor to the teams shared success and an essential part of our customers positive experience with us.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible.
• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Previous experience in the construction materials supply industry is preferred.
• Self motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness to be able to provide great customer service.
