You will provide DSEAR expertise across a major nuclear construction project environment. You will ensure compliance, reduce risk, and support safe operational delivery. Act as DSEAR subject matter expert supporting contractors and project teams Conduct, review, and approve DSEAR assessments across site activities Identify fire and explosion risks, implementing effective mitigation controls Maintain legal registers ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Provide technical guidance on DSEAR regulations and best practices Support development and implementation of DSEAR policies and procedures Review contractor assessments ensuring consistent compliance across the site Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including safety and assurance functions Deliver KPIs, objectives, and performance reporting aligned to project goals Support incident investigations and promote continuous safety improvements**Required Skills and Qualifications** Degree in engineering, fire safety, or related discipline DSEAR certification such as CompEx or NEBOSH qualifications Experience within COMAH, manufacturing, labs, or fuel environments Experience auditing explosion-protected equipment and installations Strong knowledge of DSEAR regulations and ATEX directives Understanding of explosion science and ignition control principles Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings confidently Strong communication skills simplifying complex technical information Knowledge of fire safety systems across complex construction environments Strong analytical skills with structured and pragmatic problem-solvingJoin Assystem and become a key player in delivering critical nuclear projects that shape the future of energy.
