Job summary

Assystem in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Senior Safety Case Engineer to join our growing nuclear safety team. You will lead safety assessments for a variety of UK facilities, from new build to decommissioning, working on challenging regulatory requirements.

You will mentor juniors, contribute to business development, and support client engagement across bids and frameworks while promoting STEM activities and safety excellence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable senior level experience producing safety assessments for nuclear facilities.
• Detailed understanding of UK regulatory requirements and international standards for Nuclear Safety Assessment.
• Ability to lead projects, mentor juniors and engage in business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety case projects for a range of UK nuclear facilities, including new builds and decommissioning.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and support external programmes and STEM activities.
• Contribute to bids and client relationship management across frameworks.

Waste and Decommissioning Licensing and Regulation Pressurised Water Reactors Internal and External Hazards AssessmentYou’ll be responsible for:Leading projects for a range of clients across the UK nuclear industry including new build projects, supporting operating facilities, as well decommissioning and waste management.You will also have the opportunity to take an active role in business development, building and maintaining relationships with clients and supporting bids for large and small projects and frameworks.We encourage our Senior Engineers to share our passion for developing the next generation of Engineers by taking an active role in mentoring and supporting our Juniors, as well as supporting external programmes, such as involvement in initiatives led by institutions or other relevant bodies, sponsoring undergraduate projects, supporting STEM activities in schools, or our own Annual Risk and Safety Forum.## My profile **Degree (or relevant work experience)** in any of the following disciplines, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics or Mathematics, etc.**Skills & Experience:** Demonstrable experience at a senior level in the production of safety assessments for nuclear facilities.
