Job summary

Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Safeguarding Adults Advisor (MCA/DoLS) to join the Safeguarding Team in a part-time role based in Romford.

Applicants should be a registered nurse with substantial healthcare experience, strong MCA/DoLS knowledge, and a sound understanding of adult safeguarding. You will lead MCA/DoLS compliance, provide expert advice, and support staff across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with substantial healthcare experience and MCA/DoLS knowledge.
• Strong understanding of adult safeguarding processes.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; able to support staff from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Act as operational lead for MCA/DoLS processes and Prevent across the Trust.
• Lead on the implementation of LPS in collaboration with the Named Nurse Safeguarding Adults.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on MCA/DoLS and Prevent to Trust staff.
• Ensure the Trust meets the legislative requirements of the Mental Capacity Act and Prevent Duty.
