St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a MCA & Safeguarding Practitioner to join the Safeguarding Adults team. The role is based at St George's Hospital with cross-site working at Epsom and St Helier as required.

You will be a qualified clinician (Nurse RMN, RGN, RCN or RNLD, or OT) with at least 2 years' post-qualification clinical experience and an interest in MCA and safeguarding. You will support decision-making and promote patient voices in all care decisions.

Qualifications

• Current UK professional registration (RN/OT/SW) is essential.
• At least 2 years post-registration in a clinical role.
• Experience of interagency working.

Responsabilités

• Support the Safeguarding & MCA team in clinical areas.
• Facilitate best interests meetings and case discussions with multi-agency teams.
• Advise on the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and least restrictive practices.
• Act as authorising manager for urgent DoLS (after appropriate development).
• Coordinate day-to-day team organisation and liaise with the wider Adult Safeguarding team.
• Liaise with legal services on MCA/DoLS issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information per Data Protection Act.
