AD TALENT RECRUITMENT is seeking a Lead Senior Rowing Coach to manage the Year 9 and Year 10 rowing programme for both boys’ and girls’ squads in Maidenhead. The role involves delivering high-quality coaching, athlete development, and coordinating logistics with a focus on safety and safeguarding.

You will lead the junior squads, drive team culture, and support administration, athlete tracking, and parent communications while fostering long-term development.

Qualifications

  • British Rowing Level 2 or equivalent coaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience coaching junior athletes or strong competitive rowing background.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Willingness to drive minibuses and tow trailers (training provided).
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2 or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical coaching sessions for Year 9 and Year 10 athletes.
  • Lead training sessions for boys’ and girls’ junior squads.

Lead Senior Rowing Coach (J14/15 – Years 9 & 10)

Location: Maidenhead, SL6
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2026

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced rowing coach looking to inspire young athletes and support their journey from their first strokes through to competitive success?

We are looking for a committed and organised Lead Senior Rowing Coach to lead the Year 9 and Year 10 (J14/15) rowing programme across both boys’ and girls’ squads.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach to deliver high-quality training while creating a positive, structured, and ambitious environment where young athletes can thrive.

You will play a key role in developing rowers from beginners through to competitive level, building strong technical foundations, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the sport.

Alongside coaching responsibilities, you will support squad administration, parent communication, athlete development tracking, and event logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical coaching sessions for Year 9 and Year 10 athletes
  • Develop rowers from beginner level through to competitive performance
  • Lead training sessions for both boys’ and girls’ junior squads
  • Create a positive, motivating, and high-energy team culture
  • Monitor athlete progress, attendance, and development
  • Coordinate training sessions, equipment, and event logistics
  • Drive minibuses and tow trailers to training sessions and competitions
  • Act as a key point of contact for parents and staff
  • Support the wider wellbeing and development of athletes
  • Maintain excellent safety and safeguarding standards

Requirements
