Job description

Senior ROV Pilot (FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS)

As a Senior ROV Pilot Technician on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, you’ll support the Supervisor in ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems and all associated tooling. In this offshore position, you’ll pilot, maintain, and operate Work‑Class ROVs (WROVs) on a major subsea project in the Atlantic Ocean off the Spanish coast, contributing to a focused decommissioning campaign. In this leadership role, you’ll coordinate planned maintenance, assess weather and operational conditions for safe deployment, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental protection. You’ll supervise shifts, communicate critical safety and operational updates, and manage team performance during offshore operations. You’ll also be proactive in identifying your own training needs and making the most of development opportunities throughout the contract period. This is a hands‑on, safety‑focused position ideal for experienced professionals ready to lead by example in challenging offshore environments.

Perform a wide range of piloting and manipulator operations during subsea tasks, supporting complex offshore ROV missions.

Execute safe and efficient launch and recovery procedures for the ROV system, including TMS and LARS operations.

Support the Supervisor with operational planning, safety documentation, and technical coordination across offshore projects.

Collaborate effectively with the ROV team, worksite personnel, and project staff to ensure smooth and efficient marine operations.

Work directly with company personnel and clients to complete subsea tasks, aligning with project requirements managed by the Service Line Project Management Team and Director.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

Proven expertise in at least one core technical discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical, hydraulic), with working knowledge across other related fields.

Competent in piloting ROVs and operating manipulators with precision and control during offshore operations.

Hands‑on experience with various ROV systems, subsea tooling, and Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS).

Experience supporting mobilisations and demobilisations as part of a collaborative offshore team.

Strong safety awareness, consistently working to the highest standards in line with the company’s Safety Management System.
