WSP are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Senior Engineer to Associate to join the Roads team based in Scotland. The team delivers highway consultancy services to support our clients through all stages of the project life-cycle from feasibility and concept design through to planning, detailed design, and construction.
WSP are recruiting to add to the team working on the Performance Audit Group (PAG). PAG is an independent private sector organisation, employed by Transport Scotland, which monitors the performance of the Operating Companies. PAG audits, monitors and reports on the financial, technical and performance aspects of the Operating Companies to a plan agreed with Transport Scotland.
We are seeking someone to fulfil a PAG Winter Maintenance Technical Advisor vacancy, a role which is to provide advice on the technical and operational issues which may arise as a result of the Employer’s contracts with Suppliers involving winter maintenance works and services associated with a roads network.
Key tasks include:
Review, analyse and advise on technical specifications and technical standards associated with the Employer’s contracts with Suppliers involving winter maintenance operations associated with a roads network.
Advise on regulatory compliance, standards and best practice in the development and management of contracts with respect to technical specifications and technical standards associated with winter maintenance operations required for a roads network.
To be fully conversant with and understand the relevant parts of Supplier contracts
Produce reports on the delivery and effectiveness of Suppliers works and services associated with winter maintenance
