Job Opportunity: Charge Nurse

A great new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Charge Nurse to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Stockton-on-the-Forest, York area. You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers.

This is a medium secure psychiatric hospital caring for patients with mental illness and learning disabilities, including an Autistic Spectrum Disorder service and a female service.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD) qualification
  • Current active NMC Pin
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital governance framework and communicate these to the team.
  2. Assess and manage risks across the environment, ensuring statutory compliance.
  3. Promote diversity and inclusion within the team.
  4. Identify staffing deficits and address them.
  5. Supervise team members, contribute to their CPD, mandatory training, and appraisals, and address performance issues.
  6. Act as a role model to foster a culture of learning and development.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  1. Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership.
  2. Expertise in a clinical specialty.
Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of £48,354.80 per annum. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, with benefits including:
