Job summary

NHS Tayside is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Joint Community Mental Health Services for Older People in the North West Angus area, based at Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre, Forfar.

The post requires UK NMC registration, post-qualifying experience with older people with mental health problems, and the ability to work autonomously within a multi-agency team. We offer clinical supervision, appraisal and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered with the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Experience with older people with mental health problems.
• Community-based or multi-agency team experience desirable.
• Ability to practice autonomously with risk assessment and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide RMN case management within Joint Community Mental Health Services for Older People.
• Assess and manage risk, safety, crisis in a recovery-focused approach.
• Collaborate with multi-agency teams to plan and deliver care.
