NHS Fife is seeking a Community Mental Health Nurse for the West Community Mental Health Team based at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. The post is permanent at Band 6 with salary of £43,231–£52,679 per year.

The role involves working within established multi-disciplinary teams across community settings, with responsibilities including assessment, care planning, and delivery of care to adults with varied mental health needs. Travel within the sector is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
• Experience with adults presenting a range of mental health problems is required.

We are looking to recruit registered Mental Health Nurses to work as part of our dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary community mental health teams in West Fife based at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline

Fife's CMHT's are undergoing innovative changes to the care and treatment for community-based secondary care patients. We have developed a comprehensive complex-trauma and personality disorder pathway in which we can deliver a skills-based approach through; Safe and Able to Cope, Decider Skills, Emotional Resources Group and Structured Clinical Management completes the pathway. Another significant development is the creation of Physical Healthcare Clinics offering: Clozapine, Lithium, and High Dose Monitoring as well as ADHD and Eating Disorder health checks. The CMHT's continue to provide quality evidence-based interventions for those experiencing major mental illness and disorder. West CMHT also support delivery of NHS Fife MH Electroconvulsive Therapy Treatment (ECT) and there may be opportunity to develop / support this service delivery as part of this post.

Applications for this post are invited from RMN's who can demonstrate post registration experience and knowledge of working with adults presenting with a range of mental health problems as well as a sound understanding of their physical health needs that can include prescribed treatment. As an enthusiastic mental health nurse you will join this service and will work within a multi-disciplinary team committed to partnership working with strong links to other secondary care and community services.

The successful applicants will have experience of team working, problem solving, flexibility, high-level communication skills, continuing personal development and change management. The post holder will have day to day responsibility for managing their workload; assessment, care planning, evaluation and delivery of care to patients presenting with a variety of mental health problems in both virtual and face to face settings.
