Job summary

LevelUP HCS seeks a hands-on Senior Developer to design and operate a scalable, AWS cloud-based risk platform. The role centers on Python development with Snowflake data to power cross-asset risk capabilities.

You will optimize performance, reliability, and cost, collaborating with IT teams to deliver an end-to-end risk process and supporting on-call duties. Strong distributed-systems experience is essential.

Qualifications

7+ years of development experience, Python & ideally C# .NET.
Experience building and supporting pricing and risk management systems for one or more asset classes (equities, fixed income, credit, FX, commodities).
Understanding of risk measures (delta, gamma, vega, theta, rho) and market data required to generate risk.
CI/CD, unit testing (pytest), and observability tooling.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support scalable Python-based risk engines leveraging data stored in Snowflake.
Optimize the risk generation process to deliver accurate risk results with minimal time.
Optimize distributed computation using efficient data structures and algorithms.
Reconcile risk results with legacy systems to identify and correct trade breaks.
Investigate pricing and risk issues reported by risk management.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless end-to-end risk processes.
Participate in an on-call support rota.
