Job description

In the EU, we continue to observe an unprecedented wave of legislation impacting the Selling Partner (SP) experience, constraining selection and jeopardizing growth. This increases the complexity and cost of selling in the EU and makes compliance the primary barrier to SP launches in the region.

In this role, you'll help SPs and Amazon remain fully compliant by auditing and reviewing our processes and controls for further optimization through the creation of state-of-the-art AI agents to support our teams.

As a Sr. Risk Manager in EU3P Compliance Programs, you will define strategy and inspect execution plans for high-visibility, complex tax or trade compliance programs across the EU and UK. You will influence cross-VP organizations to shape risk appetite for executive leadership, review regulatory obligations and process designs related to seller enforcement and regain strategies, advise teams on control setups, drive auditing strategies and assurance missions, and develop comprehensive risk assessments with mitigations to improve the company's risk posture.

The ideal candidate is motivated, agile, experienced in risk management, compliance, or auditing, and possesses strong project management skills. Excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills are essential.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Understand compliance requirements for Amazon and our Sellers arising from specific legislation.
  2. Shape risk appetite for executive leadership.
  3. Review the evolution of controls to monitor compliance and improve risk posture.
  4. Lead review and auditing strategies to identify remaining risks and develop mitigations.
  5. Create AI agents, processes, and prompts to enhance quality and efficiency.
A day in the life

Your day begins by reviewing recent changes in compliance requirements and risk metrics across EU and UK marketplaces to identify emerging trends. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate seller enforcement strategies and control mechanisms, sharing your insights on critical areas. You then meet with the controllership and internal audit teams to review auditing strategies and plans for compliance monitoring, and check on the progress of mitigation strategies for identified risks. Later, you engage with the internal "compliance advisory" team to learn about best practices. Throughout the day, you interact with executive stakeholders to shape risk appetite and report on risk and assurance goals.

About the team

EU 3P Compliance is a business team operating at the intersection of:

  1. Sellers - helping them comply with requirements
  2. Amazon - reducing financial exposure and risks
  3. Authorities - partnering to support their needs in a business-friendly manner

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at an advanced level, experience in compliance, audit, or risk management, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies, and a Master's degree or equivalent are required.
