Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead risk management activities across complex projects at Farnborough. You will develop tailored risk solutions, maintain risk registers, and contribute to cost and schedule risk analyses that inform programme decisions.

With extensive experience in governance and assurance, you will guide teams, drive best practices, and mentor junior professionals while ensuring alignment with organisational controls and project delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of risk management across the full project lifecycle and governance and assurance practices.
• Experience with benchmarking, data analysis and reporting within project controls.
• Familiarity with cost control and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive best practice and implementation of risk management systems to support effective project and programme delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams to drive development of risk solutions and risk registers.
• Extensive experience of working within project teams and leading on risk management.
• Experience developing and implementing new processes, standards or plans impacting functional results.
• Experience coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals and mentoring teams.
• Experience using project management tools such as Predict! Risk Controller and Predict! Risk Analyser.

The Role

As a Senior Risk Manager, you will support complex projects at all stages of the project lifecycle from bidding through to delivery.Day-to-day, you'll develop tailored risk solutions and provide risk advice alongside contributing to risk registers, cost and schedule risk estimates and analyses of QinetiQ programmes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drive best practice and implementation of risk management systems to support effective project and programme delivery
• Collaborate with project teams to, chain development
• Extensive experience of working within project teams and leading on risk management
• Experience developing and implementing new processes, standards or plans that will impact on the achievement of functional results
• Experience coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals. Mentors community, supervises and functionally manages lower level professionals
• Has extensive experience of using project management tools such as Predict! Risk Controller and Predict! Risk Analyser

Essential qualifications for the Senior Risk Manager

• Holds one of the following: APM Risk Management, IRM Certificate in Risk Management, PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), MoR Foundation or working towards

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
