Job summary

Stephenson Harwood LLP is expanding its Legal & Regulatory Risk team in London. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts while applying a strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, SRA Standards, Bribery Act, and market abuse laws.

You will support risk initiatives and liaise with international offices to uphold regulatory standards. You will work across a flexible environment with hybrid working options and proactive risk management across the firm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong working knowledge of statutory and regulatory regimes including UK GDPR, SRA Standards and Regulations, UK Bribery Act 2010, and market abuse laws.

Team Structure

The Firm is looking to develop its Legal & Regulatory Risk team. The team provides risk management support to the Firm (including each of its international offices) to ensure that it, along with its partners and employees, adhere to the legal and regulatory frameworks within which they operate. The role will report to the Head of Legal & Regulatory Risk.

You will deal with a diverse range of risk and compliance related queries and initiatives from across the business, both on a day-to-day basis and in relation to risk management and firm wide projects as appropriate.

You should have proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as a strong working knowledge of relevant statutory and regulatory regimes, including the UK GDPR, SRA Standards and Regulations, the UK Bribery Act 2010, and laws relating to market abuse and insider trading.
