Job summary

KMA Legal Recruitment is seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager for a leading regional law firm with offices in London. You will work with the Head of Risk and a small team to oversee regulatory compliance, risk frameworks and AML controls.

The role requires deep knowledge of SRA requirements, UK GDPR and data protection, with a track record of developing and implementing compliance programs in a legal environment. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in law, business, or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in risk and compliance within a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of SRA requirements, AML and data protection laws.

Responsibilities

• Advise fee earners on professional conduct, conflicts of interest and SRA rules.
• Monitor compliance with the Solicitors Code of Conduct and vetting of new schemes.
• Handle claims with professional indemnity insurers and maintain records.
• Draft and update risk management policies and procedures.
• Conduct compliance audits and review risk management plans.
• Coordinate Lexcel accreditation process.
• Assist with renewal of professional indemnity insurance and related queries.
• Deliver induction and ongoing risk-related training.
• Supervise the Risk and Compliance Assistant.
• Collaborate with Marketing to ensure Law Society and SRA compliance.
