Job summary

Apollo, a Skyward Group company, seeks a senior risk professional to lead its Enterprise Risk Management efforts and strengthen governance across the business and managed syndicates.

You will own risk assessments, reporting to Boards and senior stakeholders, and partner with underwriting, finance and operations to identify emerging risks and drive mitigations. This role requires strategic thinking and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Significant Enterprise Risk Management experience in insurance or regulated environments.
• Understanding of risk management frameworks and governance processes.
• Experience with stress testing, scenario testing, or capital model validation.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with data insights.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Lloyd's market experience is beneficial but not required.
• GRC platforms such as Decision Focus or Magique would be advantageous.
• IRM or CII qualifications welcomed but not required.

Your Role

This is a key role within Apollo's risk function, helping to ensure risks are identified, assessed, monitored and managed effectively across the business and our managed syndicates. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across underwriting, finance, operations and executive leadership, providing insight, challenge and practical support to strengthen risk management and governance.

What you'll do

What we are looking for

• Experience designing, delivering or challenging stress testing, scenario testing or capital model validation.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insight.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with reporting and data tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar.
• Ability to identify risks, assess impacts and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Lloyd's market experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Experience with GRC platforms such as Decision Focus, Magique or similar would be advantageous.
• Professional qualifications such as IRM or CII are welcomed but not required.
