Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking experienced Rigger / Erectors to join maintenance teams. The role involves 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime. Pay is in line with the NAECI agreement, with lodge and travel paid where applicable.

A valid Full UK Driving Licence is required. Key duties include carrying out lifting, rigging, and steel erection safely, interpreting drawings, and supervising crane operators.

Qualifications

• General secondary education or equivalent.
• Experience in lifting, rigging and structural steel erection in heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and lifting plans.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lifting, rigging and erection activities safely per plans.
• Direct crane operators and lifting teams during operations.
• Prepare and maintain safe working areas before, during and after lifting.
• Inspect lifting equipment and assess lifting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems where authorised.
• Provide guidance to trainees and less experienced rigging personnel.
• Maintain safety, quality and workmanship standards.
