Job summary

Sepura Ltd in Waterbeach, Cambridge, is seeking an experienced Senior RF Engineer to design and develop RF systems for mission-critical communications. You will take ownership from requirements through to validated hardware, collaborating across digital, audio and MMI teams.

The role requires hands-on experience in discrete RF design, RF simulations, and board-level integration up to 6 GHz, with strong problem-solving and clear communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Discrete RF design experience.
• Strong hands-on design experience in RF systems.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS/CST) and testing equipment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical requirements analysis, design (down to discrete level) and specification of RF circuitry including component specification, evaluation, and sourcing.
• Complete subsystem design, implementation and validation through to Approved product.
• Schematic creation and PCB layout supervision.
• Integration with Digital, Audio, and MMI subsystems.
• Test definition design and documentation.
• Root cause analysis of failures with updates to design to resolve faults.
• Type approval support to ensure compliant products.
• Collaboration/Interaction with all relevant departments to deliver high quality engineering solutions.
• Support where required for defining/creating new products.
