Your Impact

What You'll Do:

Location: Hybrid presence based near our UK hubs – London or Daventry

  • Play a lead role in the monthly financial close, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of transactions and the completeness of financial statements.
  • Prepare manual journal entries and balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, verifying that transactions align with company policies, financial standards, and internal controls.
  • Ensure all SOX controls are performed, and appropriate documentation is maintained.
  • Perform reviews of automated revenue allocations to ensure proper quoting of products/services, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Liaise with external auditors, presenting significant item updates and supporting documentation for quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
  • Manage the application of internal controls, identifying and developing best practices and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the billing, sales operations, legal commercial controllership teams, and other stakeholders in the business.
  • Manage revenue team projects and process improvements.
  • Review the accounting for customer contracts in accordance with review thresholds.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP principles and financial statements, including ASC 606 and experience with multi-element arrangements.
  • Experience with the application of ASC 606 topics, including contract modifications, principal versus agent considerations, termination for convenience, material rights, and other complex revenue recognition areas.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
  • Accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of related accounting experience in a SOX-compliant environment; public company accounting experience is a plus.
  • Salesforce, RevStream, D365, and Sigma software knowledge is a plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Flexibility to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve timely and accurate results.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality while adhering to deadlines is essential for the success of this position.
