Job summary

MCS Group has partnered with a high-growth US-listed technology business in Belfast to recruit a Senior Revenue Accountant. The role blends hands-on revenue close work with ASC 606 interpretation, US GAAP compliance, and SOX controls within a global finance team.

Hybrid work is offered with two days in the Belfast office. You will engage with Finance, Sales and Legal on process improvements and support audits and reporting cycles.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified or active CPA candidate.
• Big 4 or equivalent accounting experience.
• Experience with US GAAP, ASC 606 and SOX.
• Experience with NetSuite/BlackLine/Excel; Salesforce desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own part of the revenue close process.
• Review deals and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Handle month-end journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Support audits, financial statements and SOX controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales and Legal on process improvements.

Senior Revenue Accountant - Belfast (Hybrid)

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, publicly listed technology business, looking to recruit a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their established Finance function in Belfast on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Belfast Finance function acts as a key global hub, supporting a range of specialist areas including Accounting, Revenue, External Reporting, Tax and Audit. As the business continues to grow, this is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced technology environment with strong exposure to US GAAP, ASC 606 and SOX.

Job Duties of the Senior Revenue Accountant include:

• Handle month-end journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
• Support audits, financial statements and SOX controls
• Work closely with Finance, Sales and Legal on process improvements

What you need to be the Successful Senior Revenue Accountant

• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified / active CPA candidate, or equivalent
• Accounting experience, ideally Big 4 or Big 4 and industry
• Strong GAAP, ASC 606 and SOX knowledge
• Strong NetSuite, BlackLine and Excel skills; Salesforce desirable
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Good communication skills and comfortable working with wider Finance and business teams
