Job summary

Bestway Group is seeking a Senior Retail Operations Coordinator to join the Central Operations team in York. You will lead a small team and coordinate cross-functional activity to ensure the retail and trade plan is effectively coordinated, communicated and delivered, driving operational excellence and sales growth.

You will own complex retailer issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions, while enabling a better retailer experience across brands.

• Lead investigations into recurring retailer issues using root-cause analysis for long-term solutions.
• Analyze retailer feedback to drive improvements across processes and ways of working.
• Coach and develop a small team to maintain high performance and engagement.
• Share learnings across brands to drive continuous retailer experience improvements.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Retail Operations Coordinator to join our Central Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team whilst working cross-functionally to ensure that our retail and trade activity plan is effectively coordinated, communicated and delivered. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence supporting sales growth and enhancing the retailer experience. You will take ownership of complex or recurring retailer issues, identifying route causes and implement sustainable solutions and prevent recurring issues.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop, own and coordinate the retail and trade activity plan across our brands, ensuring activity is aligned, effectively planned and delivered to support sales growth.

• Establish clear objectives and performance measures for sales-driving activity, using results and insight to understand effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve future performance.

• Act as a key point of contact for complex retailer issues, working collaboratively across functions to ensure problems are understood, prioritised and resolved effectively.

• Lead investigations into recurring retailer issues, applying root-cause analysis techniques to identify underlying problems and implement long-term solutions.

• Analyse retailer feedback and issues, translating insights into improvements across processes, systems and ways of working.

• Support, coach and develop a small team, ensuring high performance and engagement.

• Ensure learnings from retailer issues are shared across brands and functions, driving continuous improvement and a better overall retailer experience.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong operational coordination skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach.

• Proven experience in a team leadership or people management role
• A genuine passion for problem solving and delivering practical solutions
• A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for process enhancement
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience producing reports and insights for senior management teams
• Experience within retail operations
• An understanding or passion to learn about the FMCG sector
