Job Description:

How will you make an impact? Focus on key projects within the Retail Accounting team including balance sheet reconciliations, process improvements, and business partnering of retail and/or ecommerce teams.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Be the subject matter expert in all aspects related to Retail and Ecommerce accounting and be able to advise the boutiques and ecommerce teams.
  2. Own the reconciliation and clearing of various GL accounts, such as trade debtors, VAT, and deposits.
  3. Ensure that all month-end closing tasks are delivered accurately in line with Group policy.
  4. Identify and implement clear and efficient processes for AR management.
  5. Support on the project to improve the department store cash and commission reconciliations.
  6. Provide dedicated brand support for Watchfinder.
  7. Support the continuous improvement of Watchfinder's bespoke ERP system from a RBO perspective.
  8. Ensure completeness of documentation and retention for audit purposes.
  9. Ensure compliance with local internal control policies and procedures by supporting local training, communications, analysis, and reporting.
  10. Attend boutique stock counts as required.
  11. Assist with any other tasks/projects, as required.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

Technical Skills/Abilities:

  1. Proven experience in managing balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
  2. Strong communication skills with non-finance stakeholders.
  3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  4. Experience with accounts receivable processing.
  5. Experience in internal and external audit submissions.
  6. Ability to learn new ERP systems quickly.

Personal Skills:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  3. Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented.
  4. Strong stakeholder management skills.
  5. Willing to travel to London and Kent offices at least 1 day per week, flexible to business needs.
