Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Chief Respiratory Physiologist to oversee respiratory investigations at Peterborough City Hospital with rotations to affiliated centres. The role includes reporting diagnostics, staff supervision, and deputising for the Head of Respiratory Investigations as needed.

You will maintain AHCS registration and lead a team across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality diagnostics and patient care while supporting clinicians and trainees.

Qualifications

• AHCS registration with current status.
• Experience in planning and prioritising examinations and diagnostics.
• Ability to provide detailed factual reports of diagnostics performed.
• Experience in supervising trainees and staff development.
• Strong communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexible and adaptable to service changes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AHCS registration and lead the respiratory investigations team.
• Assess, prioritise and plan examinations with the Head of Respiratory Investigations.
• Analyse data and provide accurate reports of diagnostics performed.
• Supervise and train staff and students within the department.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Perform other duties as required by the Trust.
