The long term plan for this role is for the successful candidate to be positioned at the newly built Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). The CDC will operate 7 days a week and will offer an extensive set of diagnostic services including imaging, cardio-respiratory, audiology, phlebotomy and endoscopy.

A successful candidate will be expected to assist in the development and help manage physiology team members, through recruitment, training and development to ensure high quality care.

To perform highly specialist Clinical respiratory physiological measurements in accordance with the ARTP/BTS Guidelines and department's protocols and procedures. Producing interpretation and factual reports to inform diagnosis.

To develop a Sleep service to include assessment, analysis and set up/fitting and ongoing support of patients.

To provide education and supervision to the chest clinic team, and wider Trust staff, regarding spirometry and lung function testing.

Main duties of the job

As the Respiratory Physiologist you will be actively involved in performing a range of diagnostic lung function tests as well as performing and analysing sleep studies whilst working within our multidisciplinary team.
