Job summary

Stirling Council is seeking a Senior Residential Worker at Brucefield Residential Unit, Stirling. You will lead a team to deliver trauma-informed, child-centred care for children and young people, ensuring safe and nurturing support.

You will supervise staff, develop care plans, collaborate with families and professionals, and ensure safeguarding and regulatory standards are met across shifts.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and attachment-based practice.
  • Experience supporting and motivating teams.
  • Committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to children's rights, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
  • SSSC registration (or eligibility for registration).
  • A relevant SSSC-recognised qualification, or be working towards one.
  • A full driving licence.

Salary: £43,758-£46,332 per year

Hours: 35 per week

Location: Brucefield Residential Unit, Stirling

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Senior Residential worker to support the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed residential childcare. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to staff, ensuring children and young people receive safe, nurturing and trauma responsive care.

About the Role
