A supportive living organization is hiring Senior Residential Support Workers for their new home in Plymouth. You'll guide young people preparing for independent living and assist with their education while utilizing trauma-informed practices. Ideal candidates will possess a Level 3 qualification in children's workforce or equivalent, and have experience in residential settings. The role includes a commitment to shifts and sleep-ins, with extensive training and development opportunities offered.
We are recruiting Senior Residential Support Workers for our new home in Plymouth, Devon. Our home for ages 16+ in a supported living setting.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will teach and guide our young people in preparing for independent living and participate in and plan activities to support them with their school and college work. You will be supporting our young people who may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma using our trauma-informed practices, which are embedded within our culture.

Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for committed and dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers. You’ll be a natural at building a rapport with young people and be full of empathy, so you can understand and relate to the young people you work with.
In this role, you need to be emotionally aware and resilient to be able to support the young people and the staff team you will be working with.
Hours
You will be working on average 39 hours per week; you must be able to commit to between 2-3 sleep-ins per week, and you will receive an additional £50 per sleep-in. Generally, you will be working a two-on-four-off Shift pattern. During your training period, you will be expected to work Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, with the expectation that you may need to travel.
Working alone with young people will also be expected in this home. A driver’s licence is essential for this role.
Qualifications
You will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in the children and young people's workforce or its equivalent in adult care, and experience in a Residential setting is essential.
