Job Summary
Job title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Congleton
Home Name : Aidenswood
Salary: £29,000 - £32,525 Depending on Experience
Hours : 40.5 per week
Shift Pattern : 1 shift on, 2 shifts off (Shifts start at 10am followed by a sleep in finishing the following day at 10:45am)
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Residential Support Worker for our children’s home in Congleton. This is a great opportunity to join our new children’s home, learning from an experienced, skilled management team of like-minded individuals who share a passion for giving children in care the very best support.
No two days will be the same supporting young people to achieve their very best. You will have a varied array of tasks whilst on shift; everything from cooking & cleaning, taking part in activities and games, taking Young People out to appointments/meetings, managing challenging behaviours, or even sitting and watching TV with the Young People.
We aim to create a positive, relaxed home environment where the young people feel safe, supported & listened to. You will be inducted by our industry-leading, award-winning learning & development team, and guided in your role by more senior staff members, including psychologists/therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries, manage behaviours effectively and nurture the young people in your care towards positive futures.
Experience of working in a residential home for children is essential for the role (minimum of 12 months experience). Having a relevant qualification is advantageous but not essential. Please contact our recruitment team if you have experience but are not qualified and want to ask any questions.
