Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Residential Environmental Health Team Leader to guide the council’s housing regulation and tenant protections. The role leads a team of environmental health officers, driving enforcement and service improvements within a hybrid working pattern.

The post requires knowledge of HHSRS, HMO licensing and related legislation, with a focus on safeguarding residents’ health and housing standards.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in residential environmental health incl HHSRS, HMO Licensing, Renters Rights Act 2025.
• Experience in investigation and enforcement of regulatory offences.
• Experience of multi-agency and collaborative working linked to council objectives.
• Commitment to protecting health, safety and housing conditions of residents.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of officers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of environmental health and enforcement officers.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities under Housing Act 2004 and Renters Rights Act 2025 are met.
• Contribute to continuous development of the environmental health and public protection service.
