Senior Residential Childcare Worker

Join Salford City Council as a Senior Residential Childcare Worker

Salford City Council’s Children's Residential Service is expanding. We invite a passionate Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join our new home, creating a nurturing environment for Salford’s children.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Mentor and support a team of childcare workers, promoting best practices and therapeutic approaches.
  • Therapeutic Care: Implement strategies to promote emotional and psychological well-being tailored to each child.
  • Community Building: Foster a safe and inviting home environment.
  • Collaboration: Work with other professionals to ensure holistic care and support development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in residential childcare, managing complexities in children’s homes.
  • Passion for therapeutic approaches in caring for young people.
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred.
