Overview

Hours of work are evening and day shifts as part of a flexible working rota and sleep in duties. You will be expected to complete 7-8 sleeps a month. You will be expected to train and supervise staff under the direction of the manager and be able to manage the building in the manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour care within the Children’s Residential Services for Looked After Children.
• Work in a busy 3 bed Children’s Home caring for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
• Commit to a comprehensive Induction and Training Programme.
• Train and supervise staff under the direction of the manager.
• Be able to manage the building in the manager’s absence.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Qualified in NVQ 3 Level in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent award, or be working towards this
• Demonstrated commitment to the role and ability to contribute to a positive care environment
