Job summary

Insight Care Group is recruiting a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker for Cradley Heath. You will lead a team, develop individual care plans, and uphold safeguarding standards in a Ofsted-regulated home.

The role includes 40-hour weeks plus sleeps, with a starting basic pay of £15.30–£15.80 per hour, enhanced by sleep-ins and performance bonuses. Full training and wellbeing benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Experience working with young people in a residential care setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
• Commitment to the safety, well-being, and development of children.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and support a team of support workers, conduct appraisals, supervisions, and ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Care Planning: Develop and review personalized care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans to meet the needs and goals of each child.
• Safeguarding & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
• Supporting Young People: Act as a key worker, promoting life skills, independence, and personal development. Plan and participate in engaging activities and educational programs.
• Health & Safety: Conduct regular checks, oversee medication administration, and ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for residents.
• Communication: Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals while maintaining detailed and accurate records.
