Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is seeking a Senior Residential Child Care Worker in Doncaster to lead shifts, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality, child-centred care within a residential setting.

The role requires QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 4/5 desirable), strong safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to manage challenging situations with compassion. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are included, with sleep-ins on a rolling rota.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare is essential.
• QCF Level 4 or Level 5 is desirable.
• Experience working with children and young people in a residential care or childcare setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience with mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and supervise residential care staff.
• Promote high-quality, child-centred care and act as a positive role model.
• Support development and implementation of individual care plans.
• Oversee day-to-day care and activities within the home.
• Monitor and record young people’s progress and wellbeing; support meetings and training.
