Job summary

Curio Careers is seeking a Senior Architect for a London-based, residential-focused practice. The role requires taking ownership of packages from RIBA Stage 4 onwards, translating design into buildable information, and working closely with design, project, and construction teams through to completion.

The role emphasises hands-on drawing, technical resolution, consultant coordination, and site delivery, with a strong focus on heritage-led and high-end residential schemes.

Qualifications

• ARB-registered Architect, or Senior/Associate level with full professional status.
• Proven experience delivering projects through RIBA Stage 4 and beyond.
• Experience managing complex residential projects and multiple work packages.
• Strong technical detailing, coordination and construction knowledge.
• Experience coordinating consultants and engaging with stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and current technical requirements.
• Site and construction-phase experience with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural delivery through RIBA Stages 4 and 5+.
• Develop and coordinate detailed architectural information, drawings, schedules and specifications.
• Translate design intent into buildable packages with clear technical resolve.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior, and specialist consultants.
• Manage packages against programmes and deadlines, identifying risks.
• Support tender preparation and construction sequencing.
• Support site delivery and maintain design quality through to completion.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
• Provide direction and technical support to other Architects and Assistants.
• Maintain clear communication across design, technical and construction teams.
