Job summary

Cammach is partnering with a leading Oil & Gas Operator in Aberdeen to recruit an experienced Senior Drilling Engineer on a long-term contract. The role offers hybrid working and 34 days’ holiday per annum.

The Senior Drilling Engineer will lead well work programmes, coordinating a multidisciplinary team and providing technical leadership across the project, with strong emphasis on Coiled Tubing, conventional drilling and well intervention.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, Offshore or Petroleum Engineering.
• Recent UKCS experience is essential.
• Experience with Coiled Tubing and well intervention operations.
• Strong computer skills with drilling engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and design of well work programmes.
• Coordinating the wider well engineering team, including drilling, completions, well intervention, fluids/cement and well integrity disciplines.
• Providing technical leadership and ensuring all engineering activities are integrated across the project.
• Applying strong knowledge and practical experience of conventional drilling, Coiled Tubing and well intervention operations.

Cammach is working with a leading Oil & Gas Operator who is currently seeking an experienced Senior Drilling Engineer on a long-term contract based in Aberdeen. This opportunity is offered on an Agency Worker / PAYE basis, with an excellent day rate, hybrid working arrangements and 34 days’ holiday per annum.

ROLE

This is a specialist requirement, and candidates must have proven experience within Coiled Tubing operations, alongside a strong background in conventional drilling and well intervention. The Senior Drilling Engineer will act as the lead engineer for the well/project, taking overall responsibility for the planning and design of the well work programme.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the planning and design of well work programmes.
• Coordinating the wider well engineering team, including drilling, completions, well intervention, fluids/cement and well integrity disciplines.
• Providing technical leadership and ensuring all engineering activities are effectively integrated across the project.

REQUIREMENTS

• BSc, MSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Chemical, Offshore or Petroleum Engineering, with significant well engineering experience.
• Recent UKCS experience is essential.
• Experienced Senior Drilling Engineer / Drilling Engineer with a strong background in Coiled Tubing and well intervention operations.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with Drilling Engineering software.
• Candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK without sponsorship.
