An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Senior Reserves Officer to lead conservation efforts across multiple reserves. This role will initially provide maternity cover support and later transition into managing Land Trust SANGs. The ideal candidate will be a practical people manager with project management skills and a passion for nature. You'll engage with diverse teams, manage contractors, and ensure effective conservation delivery. Salary Additional Information: c.£29,000 per annum dependent on experience

We are looking to recruit a Senior Reserves Officer, to initially provide maternity cover support for our East Team (handle challenging conservation delivery across a number of reserves and to drive plans forward by empowering the team, working with the wider Reserves Management department staff, prioritising effectively, responding to swiftly changing demands and dealing with complex issues) and then transition to being the project officer responsible for our growing portfolio of Land Trust SANGs across the county.
Candidates will need to be practical people managers who can demonstrate logical thinking, project management skills, passion for the joy of nature and determination to succeed.
You must have previous experience of successfully working within the environmental sector matched with an outgoing, personable and friendly approach, and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
The job will involve a mix of being outdoors, managing contractors throughout the year, occasional lone working, managing agri-environment schemes, office work and working with partner organisations. A full driving licence is essential as our locations cannot easily be accessed by public transport.
