European Research College London (ERC London) is pleased to announce part-time Senior Researcher positions aimed at establishing a strong academic presence in London. We seek talented researchers with a track record in Economics and Business Studies capable of driving transformative research and advancing ERUNI’s integration into the UK academic ecosystem.

Position Overview

The position offers established academics the opportunity to lead groundbreaking research contribute to institutional governance, and mentor junior researchers. It emphasizes strategic leadership, international collaboration, and institutional influence within a supportive environment at ERUNI’s London campus.

• Position Title: Researcher (Senior).
• Location: London, UK (onsite).
• Salary: Competitive remuneration based on involvement (expectation of 20% commitment).
• Contract Type: Part-time, renewable five-year term with performance reviews every 24 months.
• Start Date: September 2025.
• Research Focus: Protected research time with no teaching responsibilities.
• Research Freedom: The autonomy to independently determine one’s own research topics (upon approval from ERC).
• Travel Support: Access to funding for attending prestige scientific conferences.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Researcher, you will:

• Conduct research aligned with Economics and Business Studies.
• Develop high-impact research with the potential for publication in leading journals.
• Contribute to ERC’s strategic objectives by fostering international collaborations, particularly with UK institutions.
• Submit grant applications to international calls for proposals.

Eligibility Requirements

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Essential Qualifications

• Current or recent full-time involvement at a QS Top 100 institution (within the past five years).
• Proven track record of securing research funding as principal investigator.
• A solid track record of publications in high ranked journals appropriate to the length of professional experience.
• Research interests aligned with Economics and Business Studies.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to building ERC's academic presence in London.

Desired Attributes

• Experience establishing new research centres or laboratories.
• Experience leading research consortia and mentoring junior colleagues.
• Active participation in editorial boards of top ranked journals.
