Job summary

British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) invites applications for a Senior Researcher on a 6-month fixed-term basis to advance its in-house research capability. The role focuses on delivering a major study into Social Value in the procurement chain, including design, delivery, analysis, and outputs for members and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will manage external partners, support the Head of Policy & Research, and ensure timely, high-quality reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
• Experience drafting reports and briefings for non-specialist audiences.
• Experience in education policy, procurement, or related sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks to agreed milestones.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, including literature reviews and stakeholder interviews.
• Contribute to drafting reports and briefings for members and stakeholders.
• Represent BESA at external meetings, events and in the media.
• Lead and manage research projects from conception to launch.
• Support the management of the research programme and coordinate external partners.
