Job overview

The Senior Transition Manager, Paediatric Oncology Research will oversee the transition of paediatric research from The Royal Marsden (RM) to GSTT. GSTT and NHS London plan for the transfer of services by autumn 2026.

The role involves working with senior managers across the Paediatric Oncology Research Community, including NHS, academic, and commercial stakeholders, to facilitate the transfer of the paediatric oncology research portfolio. The goal is to ensure continuity of research opportunities for paediatric oncology patients.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Transition Manager will be responsible for:

  • Project managing the transfer of the paediatric clinical research portfolio from RM to Evelina, including over 50 clinical trials.
  • Managing relationships with research stakeholders and maintaining the research portfolio during the transfer.
  • Leading collaboration between various teams to ensure all aspects of each trial are considered and appropriately transferred.

Identify work streams, plan and lead complex activities, formulate project plans, and manage risks. Establish and lead oversight groups and report on progress.

Education/Qualifications

  • Higher degree (e.g., MSc) or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Experience in NHS or HEI environment
