You will provide technical expertise, support, and guidance in research support. You may supervise technical staff and act as a role model and coach others. You will need an in-depth understanding of research questions, techniques, and protocols to advise, diagnose, resolve problems, and suggest solutions. Flexibility to work outside normal hours may be required, and opportunities to work in different areas of the department or university may be available.
Provide expertise, support, and possibly supervise staff or monitor budgets.
Work independently on routine and project tasks, plan resources and procurement.
Research and adapt protocols, uphold safety, identify and solve problems with autonomy.
Support research staff and students, liaise with external contacts such as company representatives.
